1. Who is responsible

YT PUBLISHING LTD, Hong Kong (“we”, “us” or “our”), operates Video Publisher and its website at video-publisher.online. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints, contact admin@video-publisher.online.

This policy covers the application’s video publishing, channel management, comment and analytics features, and communications with our support team. Video Publisher uses YouTube API Services. Google’s handling of your information is explained in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Information used by the application

The features you use and the permissions you grant determine which information is accessed. Some data concerns other people, such as the authors of public comments.

InformationPurpose
AuthorizationOAuth access and refresh tokens, permission scopes, connection status and identifiers needed to associate a connection with the correct channel.
Channel & videosChannel IDs and names, video IDs, metadata, thumbnails, visibility, upload status and available statistics, for channel selection and video management.
Content you provideVideo files and metadata you select for upload, including titles, descriptions and visibility; edits and other channel actions you instruct the application to perform.
Engagement & commentsComment text, author display names and channel identifiers, timestamps, replies and moderation status; supported engagement and subscription information used in the relevant channel features.
Audience & performanceAvailable channel and video reports, including views, watch time, likes, subscriber gains and losses, traffic sources, reported search terms and referring videos, geography, devices and aggregate demographics.
RevenueAvailable estimated revenue, advertising revenue and ad-performance metrics when you authorize revenue reporting. These are reports about your channel, not access to your bank account.
Support & technical informationYour contact details and messages when you ask for help, and operational information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as request times, errors, IP addresses and browser information.

Google handles sign-in. Do not provide your Google password to Video Publisher. The informational website does not itself start an OAuth flow, upload a video, or retrieve your channel’s reports.

3. Permissions and your choices

Google displays the permissions requested by the application before you approve a connection. Read that screen carefully. A permission can technically allow more operations than the individual feature you are using; it does not authorize us to perform unrelated actions.

  • Read channel data: youtube.readonly supports channel information and the read permission required for Analytics reports.
  • Manage videos and comments: youtube.force-ssl supports uploads and supported video and comment changes you request. This is a broad write permission, including deletion capabilities.
  • Read performance and revenue: yt-analytics-monetary.readonly supports monetary and non-monetary Analytics reports for your authorized channel.

A release limited to uploads can instead request youtube.upload. Non-monetary analytics can use yt-analytics.readonly when revenue reporting is not enabled. We request only the permissions needed for the features you use. Refusing or withdrawing a permission can make the associated features unavailable.

4. How information is used

Information is used to deliver the channel functions you choose: upload or update a video, display an authorized report, manage a comment, maintain the connection, answer a support request, or investigate a service or security issue. Channel changes must follow your instructions.

Audience reports describe groups rather than identifying individual viewers. Search terms and referring videos are the traffic details returned by YouTube; they are not a viewer’s private search or browsing history. Missing or suppressed reports are not treated as proof of zero activity.

Estimated revenue is not a final payment amount. Video Publisher does not determine YouTube Partner Program eligibility or infer monetization status from analytics.

5. Google data and Limited Use

Video Publisher’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google-derived information is used only for the prominently described features you authorize. It is not sold, used for ad targeting or credit decisions, or used to train general-purpose AI models. We do not combine customers’ private channel reports to create a cross-customer data product.

Human access is limited to your specific permission, necessary security work, or legal requirements. Staff and service providers are subject to the same restrictions. No general right to browse your private videos, comments or revenue reports is created by granting OAuth access.

6. Recipients and processing locations

Google and YouTube receive the API requests and content necessary to carry out the actions you choose. For example, an upload transmits the selected video and its metadata to YouTube, and a comment reply transmits your reply text. Public or unlisted content may be accessible to other people according to the visibility you choose and YouTube’s rules.

Hosting, storage and communication providers process information on our behalf only as needed to operate, secure and support the service, subject to the restrictions in this policy. Authorized personnel access information only for the purposes and under the Limited Use conditions described above. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address a security incident. A transfer of Google-derived data in a business transaction requires the applicable prior user consent.

The application runs on server infrastructure. Hosting arrangements and processing locations are selected according to the legal requirements applicable to the user’s jurisdiction. The informational website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers. Google processes information under its own privacy policy. Where processing involves a cross-border transfer, applicable legal requirements and safeguards apply.

Contact admin@video-publisher.online with questions about the hosting arrangements applicable to your use of the application.

7. Storage, retention and security

Server storage and retention

We store application data on server infrastructure. There is no single automatic expiration date for all stored data: retention depends on the data category, its continuing purpose and your authorization.

  • OAuth tokens: retained only while necessary to provide the service you authorize as an active user. Google controls token validity and may expire or revoke a token independently of its storage.
  • Authorized analytics and statistics: historical Analytics/Reporting data and eligible authorized statistics may be retained for as long as needed for your authorized features. We check continued authorization at least every 30 days and check that the relevant videos still exist, as required by YouTube.
  • Other YouTube API data: metadata, comments and other stored API records are refreshed from YouTube or deleted within 30 calendar days.
  • Source files and operational records: source videos you provide, support correspondence and technical records are retained only as needed to fulfil your instructions, operate and secure the service, resolve the relevant request, or meet applicable legal obligations.

Deletion and withdrawal of access

We process direct requests to delete information relating to you, including requests sent to admin@video-publisher.online, as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days. Application-account deletion also triggers removal of the related stored user data within that period.

When you disconnect through the application, we revoke the token immediately and delete the authorized data as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days. When you revoke access through Google’s settings, we detect the loss of authorization through periodic checks and delete the affected API data as soon as possible and within 30 calendar days of revocation. No email is required to trigger cleanup after Google revocation.

Deletion covers the relevant copies under our control. Any retention required by law is limited to that legal purpose, protected from ordinary use, and explained where permitted. Information remaining independently with Google or YouTube is governed by their policies.

Protection of information

We protect tokens and personal information with safeguards appropriate to their sensitivity, restrict access to authorized purposes, and require people and providers handling information on our behalf to follow these restrictions. Contact us promptly if you believe an account connection or personal information has been misused.

8. Website and device information

This informational website does not include advertising pixels, an embedded YouTube player, visitor analytics scripts, or application-written cookies or local-storage records. Hosting infrastructure processes technical requests needed to deliver and secure the website. Hosting and security providers may use cookies, including Cloudflare’s __cf_bm cookie, for bot detection and abuse prevention.

Where a connected feature requires browser or session information, its use is limited to delivering that feature and maintaining authentication and security. Material changes to device-data collection will be disclosed before they are introduced. Following an external link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy and cookie practices.

The optional demo workspace uses fictional sample data. Edits and simulated actions are held only in the current page memory and reset when the page reloads. The demo does not connect to Google, call YouTube APIs, or upload video files.

9. Your rights and deletion

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing admin@video-publisher.online. Include the relevant channel URL or ID and enough information to identify your request. We may ask for proportionate evidence of control of the account; never send a password, access token or recovery code.

You can revoke access at Google’s third-party access settings. See our data deletion instructions for instructions on requesting deletion directly. Revocation through Google itself triggers the cleanup obligation; emailing us is optional after revocation.

Deleting application-held information does not itself delete a YouTube channel, remove published videos or comments, or erase information Google independently retains. Those actions are managed through YouTube. Rights and complaint options available under applicable data-protection law are not limited by this policy. In Hong Kong, information is available from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.

10. Children and policy changes

Video Publisher is intended for adult channel owners and people authorized to act for a business or organization. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so the matter can be investigated.

Updated policies will appear on this page with a revised date. Material new uses of Google data require appropriate notice and consent before the new use begins. Contact admin@video-publisher.online with any question about this document.
